About Hope UCC

HOPE United Church of Christ has been an Open and Affirming (ONA) Congregation since opening its doors in 1996.  With an understanding that we are all uniquely created in the image of God, HOPE United Church of Christ jubilantly welcomes and affirms into the full life and leadership of the church people of any age, race, culture, ethnicity, background, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, and ability.

We believe not one of God's children should be excluded from the life of the church. HOPE UCC takes our Open and Affirming stance very seriously.

MISSION statement

HOPE United Church of Christ is a progressive Christian voice that welcomes diverse people for reflection and action. Rooted in the United Church of Christ, HOPE takes the Bible seriously, but not literally. As people who are joyfully and unapologetically Christian, we pledge ourselves completely to the way of love. We work to express our love as Jesus taught by loving God, neighbor, and self. We unite personal faith with social justice, prayer with peacemaking, and spirituality with action. We passionately believe in the power of HOPE.
